Intraoral Cameras

An intraoral camera is a device just a tad longer than the size of a pen. It has tiny cameras fitted on its tips that captures images and displays them on a screen. The dentist moves this device through your mouth, which displays them to the dentist’s computer. The patient and the doctor can simultaneously see the condition of his/her teeth. Dr. Adam makes use of intraoral cameras to educate his patient about his/her oral health. This greatly aids the patient in better understanding of the dental condition, ask questions on dental health and take a judicious call in defining the treatment plan.

Digital X-Rays

Digital X-Rays are like the digital cameras we have today. With advancement in technology digital X-rays offer a much better approach compared to traditional radiography. Digital radiography (digital X-ray) is a form of X-ray imaging where digital X-ray sensors are used instead of traditional photographic film. The digital X-Ray exponentially reduce the amount of radiation as much as 80% that you and your family are exposed to during the imaging. It also greatly reduces the examination time, as no chemical processing of the film is required.

Digital x-rays can be used in any situation where problems with bone, teeth, or organs need to be diagnosed. Digital x-rays are often used to narrow down the possible causes when a patient has pain not caused by obvious trauma such as an accident or injury.

CT / Cone
Beam Scanner

Cone-beam computed tomography systems (CBCT) are a variation of traditional computed tomography (CT) systems. Sometimes, even evaluating a patient, Dr. Adam might need a more detailed and in-depth look at his patient's oral layout.

The cone beam computed tomography (CT) is a special type of x-ray equipment used when regular dental or facial x-rays are not sufficient. The Cone-beam scanner is capable of capturing not just a patients teeth and gums but it can capture imposing details of bones, blood vessels and nerves in a single snapshot thus aiding the doctor reach to an accurate conclusion in determining the treatment plan.

The CT / Cone Beam scanner technology can make the difference in achieving the accurate decision making to successfully carry out a complex dental procedures such as a patient with facial trauma, before a complicated root canal procedure or complex treatments like the TMJ ( temporomandibular joint disorder) treatment and immensly help patient in quicker recovery.

Digital
Impression Systems

Dental digital impression systems capture intraoral scans of a patient's teeth and gingival tissue to generate a 3D digital model that can be used for CAD/CAM dentistry.

Digital impressions eliminate the technique sensitivity and patient discomfort of giving measurements in wet cement to develop impression cast and requiring the patient to hold it down for a couple of minutes. The 3D digital models they create are highly accurate and detailed.

Captured using safe, non-invasive imaging technologies, digital impressions are available for a range of restorative and orthodontic indications.

Soft Tissue Laser Dentistry

Laser dentistry is a fast and effective method that uses heat and light to perform a wide variety of dental procedures. It helps in killing the bacteria in the mouth and helps reactivate the growth of tissues.

The mechanism of laser surgery works like this: The concentrated light beam cuts through diseased or excess tissue, which is called ablation. It coagulates the tissue and hence the procedure does not need sutures. This soft tissue procedure therefore has minimizing bleeding and aids in healing and speedy recovery.

Most importantly, laser dentistry is virtually pain-free! Laser dentistry produces a natural numbing effect when it's working, therefore meaning no extra anesthesia is needed.

The Wand

Dental patients everywhere have one thing in common: a fear of needles. A necessity to carry out to perform certain dental procedures. The fear of needles causes them to skip out on necessary dental care altogether.

Dr. Adam has invested and incorporated the Wand technology in his set of tools, to alleviate the fear of pain and facilitate a complete pain free dental treatment experience.

The Wand's precision control makes the whole numbing procedure less painful overall. It uses low pressure and a slow rate of injection hence the patient is often left guessing when the anesthetic was administered. It works instantly and only numbs the tooth at is being treated. This technology also relieves the stress often experienced by children and elderly alike as with the traditional anesthetic - experiencing numbness across the face.

Cavity Detection System

Cavities are permanently damaged areas in the enamel of your teeth that grow into tiny holes. Cavities, also called tooth decay and are caused by a combination of factors, including oral bacteria, frequent snacking, sipping sugary drinks and not maintaining proper oral hygiene.

Diagnosing cavities in the interior of the mouth using traditional methods is difficult; studies even show that 50% of cavities are left undetected in these areas. However, the Cavity Detection System help identify the location of these cavities to put a stop to further decay.

Laser cavity detection relies on the fact that light passes more easily through healthy tooth structure. A light wand is used to beam laser light onto the chewing surfaces of the teeth, while the cavity detection machine calculates the probability of tooth decay in any given spot.
